LEAPS Service Minimize

CSI-McAleer is pleased to announce the continuation of our LEAPS Service Offering for 2009. The Service is available for both COBOL and NextGen clients.

Fiscal year end is always a stressful time. This is increasingly so as districts need to ensure with certainty the accuracy of the personnel data being reported to the State. Take advantage of our in-depth understanding of the LEAPS process and allow our Personnel experts to eliminate the burden of preparing something so critical for the upcoming fiscal year.

Last year’s pilot LEAPS Services campaign served over 15 clients, reducing the burden associated with the LEAPS preparation. We simplify the process and act as an extension of your staff. Our expert LEAPS team is ready to assist you.

The attached documents (COBOL and NextGen) explain the different options available. More detailed questions can be answered by contacting Tom Boerst at tboerst@csioutfitters.com.

Training Available! Minimize

CSI-McAleer is pleased to announce that we will now be conducting regularly scheduled training in the computer lab of our new office building.  We realize that during these difficult times the scope of your staff’s responsibilities continues to grow, and to keep up with this change you need to be armed with the appropriate knowledge.

To meet this need, we are offering two, three-day sessions per month, stressing basic NextGen knowledge in the first session and specific, seasonal training in the second session.  These sessions are designed in such a way that we can run generic training for large groups, or deliver customized training for individual users.  The basic premise behind these sessions is to allow you to look ahead at staff turnover or surges in financial requirements, and to be able to plan accordingly.

Currently, the training we have scheduled is listed below, and we will be adding additional training in the weeks to come.  The sessions themselves will not encompass the entire three days, but rather are offered on each of the days to provide maximum flexibility for your staff’s respective schedules. Each session is only $150/person/day, with registration a simple matter of calling our office and selecting the class you would like.

June 2- 4

NextGen Basics session(s)  -  this session is designed with the new bookkeeper/payroll clerk in mind.  We know that each year a certain percentage of new staff members are forced to learn the system from passed down knowledge, and these sessions will allow you to plan for the turnover proactively.

June 16 – 18

Budget Works  -  this session will focus on the mechanics of the Budget Works module as well as addressing situations unique to your respective site.

July 7 – 9

NextGen Basics session(s)

July 21 – 23

Budgeting  -  this session will take you through the preparation and finalization of your 2010 budget, to include data generated by the Budget Works module.

August 4 – 6

NextGen Basics session(s)

August 18 – 20

LEAPS  -  this session will guide you through the LEAPS process as well as highlight any areas that have changed since last year’s submission.

September 1 – 3

NextGen Basics session(s)

September 22 – 24

LEAPS/FY year end procedures  -  this is a final training session for LEAPS in addition to instruction on the Fiscal Year close and State financial submissions.

As always, if there is anything else we can do to assist you or your staff, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
